I appologize for not getting on in so long and letting you all know what has been going on.

OYE! There is SO much going on! The wedding is about a week away now and we are down to the last few details.

Sean (yes, from the video in the previous post) made it in yesterday. The first of many guests arriving in for the big day (Although Sean will be staying for quite awhile). We are looking forward to seeing all of you that we have not seen for so long!

I picked up all the dresses from alterations yesterday, and they look FABULOUS! I would totally reccomend her to everyone I meet (she is a little spendy but does a fantastic job). She even steamed the train of my dress because it had gotten some wrinkles in it while hanging there. Read the rest of this entry »

My “son-in-law to be” and his friends have fun making odd movies and using their computer skillz to make “movie magik”. Please support them by viewing some of thier movies on youtube at DeathBySanta. I suppose this is how the biggies like Francis Ford Coppola got started right? LOL

Sorry I haven’t been here. I have been running all over town trying to get the last minute things done for the wedding.

I still need to find shoes for my wedding dress, and a beachy hawaiian type dress for the reception. But I have shoes for that dress!

I made all of the bouquets for the wedding this week (still need to take pics) and accidentally used all the flowers I was going to use for the guys boutonieres! So I have to run back over to Destin today to get more, but I am going to meet the cake lady to pay for my cake and drop off all of the decorations for it, so I’m not really going out of my way to much.

Not to much else going on, just running between chuch and home trying to take over all the deliverys that have come in as of late, to finish off all the orders I needed for the decorations.

I can’t think of anything else. Thinking I will have to come update later. My brain is fried and its only 7:15 am!!

CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!

So, friday night.. Went to “St. Mary’s Spring Fling” at the fairgrounds. Watched the Church praise band sing thier hearts out. It was awesome. They did great! I love hearing them sing. Miss Linda and Miss Margaret do such an amazing  job on vocals… Makes your skin get goose pimples…

Now I am sitting back and listening to my friend Monty rock out with her c*ck out on http://www.mpyrradio.com . Then you have the chat room which makes it even more fun at http://mpyrradio.com/pcpin/main.php . Ya’ll should come and join us one friday night and listen to the awesomeness that is Monty!! She is SO much fun!!

Here’s to next time we get together and break out the Tequila!! (one time I am gonna go to Tequilacon just cause I freakin LOVE tequila!!!) That or I would totally love to meet some of these amazing people I read everyday, I guess either excuse will do..

Going to slink off to bed now. Have to be at Church in the AM.. ACK!

I am sorry for not posting in what feels like forever. I haven’t had anything terribly exciting going on. I am even struggling to find a way to break it down to a bullet post.

• Still trying to get grass to grow in the backyard. The torential rains we had a couple weeks ago killed off a bunch of our baby grass. So I finally broke down and bought some grass plugs. Thats gotta help right??
• Finishing up all the wedding preps and thinking I better get myself in gear and get the wedding blog up and running for those of you who would like to watch via the internets! (Chelle I’m gonna need your help)
• Desperatly need to clean my house top to bottom, room by room, before my inlaws and family come into town for the weekend of fun! Probably gonna need a grinder, jackhammer, huge dumpster, and a putty knife… lol
• Need to get the pool clean and sparkly so we can jump in soon. I can’t wait for the trees to stop pissing leaves and pollen into it.
• Trying to kick a cold my lovely son brought home to me (YAY), thank you darling.
• Have loads of paperwork to finish before the end of the month. (double YAY)
• A little drama at our church. Hope it resolves itself quickly.
• One other thing that I’m still not ready to mention yet, but it’s getting closer, I’m getting very excited, and anxious about it. Cross your fingers that everything turns out sucessful okay?

So much to do and so little time… If anyone would like to come and be my clone for a few days, I’m accepting applications within!

Although this is most of the story, because things happened so fast, and it was constant chaos, some of the story is forgotten. I have yet to get together with my daughter, mother, and sister to get their sides to make sure I have a full and complete accounting of all the mess that transpired… A letter to the companies involved will be sent and hopefully those in the wrong (can I point out #7?) will try to make a decent appology to my daughter, and those who went above and beyond will know how much they were appreciated in such a difficult time.

My oldest (Miss ‘Tude) decided several months ago that she didn’t wish to attend prom here. She wanted to fly home to Alaska and attend prom there with her boyfriend and friends. After talking it out (and giving her the appropriate warnings about flight delays etc.) we agreed.

She was meant to fly out with Northwest on Wednesday the 25th at 6 am. The flight was canceled due to mechanical issues but rescheduled the following morning. So, Thursday at 3:45 am we get up and load up her bags and dress and make our way over to the airport. We get her all checked in and I get my pass to escort her to the gate and we sit and wait a while and she flies out. (I’m choked up, it’s her first big trip away from me. -this growing up thing is killing me, I’m not ready for her to be 17 yet let alone 18!) Read the rest of this entry »

Have you heard about “The Best Job In The World” contest? To live on an island down under and be paid to snorkel, hike, swim, explore, and all you have to do is blog about it? That’s a paid vacation folks!

Today reading the paper down here I saw an article about a girl from these parts that has entered to win the contest. She seems behind in votes though. The other people have a huge lead.. Adeline is one of only a few Americans in the running. I would like to ask all of your help to get her more votes and help her have a chance at having this job! (Help a potential blogger out?) Either way you can vote everyday and ask your friends to vote for her too, there isn’t much time to get her to the top. 

Wouldn’t it be fun to have a little icon on all of our pages pointing to her blogging about ”The Best Job In The World” that we helped her get??

Yesterday the Hulk calls me from work begging for this video game that happens to be on sale at Kmart for 29.99 instead of the usual 59.99 (a special thanks to the guys at the shop for telling him it was on sale ~insert sarcasm here). He has a lot of studying to do for his upcoming (rank) test, so I was hesitant. But Miss ‘Tude being the sweetheart I taught her to be decided she would go buy the game for her daddy..

Now in the three years I have lived here I have been to this Kmart about 6-8 times. None of these visits made me terribly happy or want to go back. It’s a dingy, grimy store, never clean. Every time I have been in there it looks as if they are moving the shelving around because it has those big grungy marks from all the filth that has been stuck under the shelves for who knows how long.

This time was no different. Same filthy marks on the floor, yet remarkably, everything is right where it was last time I was there. So we find our way to the electronics dept and look for the game we came for. After locating it we walk around the little “enclosure” looking for whomever is supposed to be manning the dept. Of course we find no one. So we wait and have a discussion about her upcoming trip home for prom. After about 5-8 minutes we decide we are going to fan out to look for someone, when her cell phone rings. It’s the florist in AK with questions about her corsage and boutonniere order for prom. We speak to her (thanks phone timers) for 10 minutes and 48 seconds. And still, NO Kmart employee has even walked by this department for ’round about 20 minutes.

Quick question; isn’t the electronics the “high priced” items in the store that needs a constant babysitter to make sure no one walks off with any of it? (Just askin’)

So we hang up with florist lady and fan out to look for help. We walk clear over to the lawn and garden center and find and older gent and a younger, maybe mid-twenties girl. This is the conversation that transpired; Read the rest of this entry »

Today we had a 90% chance of rain, yet the church wanted to have a rummage sale and guess who was there for the whole thing? (7:30-3!) I am soaked, cold and very, very tired.  …But we made 400 bucks. YAY!
